Jean Lamont, with 30 years of experience in independent schools, counsels families on a host of educational issues. Having previously led a K-9 school, taught at the lower, middle and upper levels, and served as a middle school administrator, Jean has a wealth of knowledge to bring to her work with families.
Secondary School Placement
Drawing upon 20 years of experience, Jean offers comprehensive counseling to parents and students which includes:
- A review of the student’s academic and extracurricular record
- Discussion with parents regarding their child’s academic profile and interests
- Discussion with the student regarding his or her thoughts about school
- Insights into schools which appropriately match the student’s interests and needs
- Development of a plan for optimal completion of the application process
- Guidance in selecting the choice of school from those offering admittance
